Set in the beautiful mountain area of Snowdonia, North Wales Llanberis is typical of a North Welsh village and of a past slate-working community, the local, small terraced houses being built of stone and slate from the surrounding area. Llanberis lies at the foot of Mount Snowdon and it is from here that the trains of the Snowdon Mountain Railway depart on their 4¾ miles journey to the summit. The railway was created as a tourist aid and owes nothing to heavy industry. Travelling on the little railway allows you to appreciate the beauty of the landscape, with spectacular views of waterfalls and mountain gorges as well as a wealth of wildlife.
For those going on the hills we have a daily weather report lots of maps and a drying room for your wet things!
(Non en-suite bedrooms share two bathrooms and three toilets.) The facilities and services on offer are:-
