Gallt-y-Glyn Hotel in Llanberis North Wales

Set in the beautiful mountain area of Snowdonia, North Wales

Llanberis is typical of a North Welsh village and of a past slate-working community, the local, small terraced houses being built of stone and slate from the surrounding area. Llanberis lies at the foot of Mount Snowdon and it is from here that the trains of the Snowdon Mountain Railway depart on their 4¾ miles journey to the summit. The railway was created as a tourist aid and owes nothing to heavy industry. Travelling on the little railway allows you to appreciate the beauty of the landscape, with spectacular views of waterfalls and mountain gorges as well as a wealth of wildlife.

The Gallt-y-Glyn Hotel is a delightful and friendly hotel which has a well stocked bar, restaurant  and an open fire in the lounge. We have tea & coffee facilities in all the rooms and televisions in some rooms as well as a laser disc, big screen and projector in the TV lounge. We have a reasonably stocked video library and of games and packs of cards as well as reading books.

For those going on the hills we have a daily weather report lots of maps and a drying room for your wet things!

• 1 Family Room (sleeps 6)

• 2 Bunkhouses - en-suite (6 per room). (A sleeping bag and towel are required for the bunkhouse).

(Non en-suite bedrooms share two bathrooms and three toilets.)
